This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, who provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing. Workers promote a person-centred approach, work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.
To achieve this qualification students are required to complete 14 units of competency and a mandatory 120 hour practical placement.
Flexible study – Unable to attend classes and want to study in the comfort of your own home? Then this option is for you. Students can start at any time and are given 12 months from the day of enrolment to complete.

All applicants must have a current police check, working with children’s check, Unique Student Identifier (USI) and interview to determine eligibility and suitability requirements prior to being accepted into this course.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) available.
