Unique Student Identifier
From the 1st January 2015 all students undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) must obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before you can enrol in your chosen qualification.
A USI is made up of a combination of ten (10) numbers and/or letters and will look something like: 3AW88YH9U5
Your USI will give you access to your online USI account. USI's remain with the student for life and your account will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from 1 January 2015 onwards. This makes for a one stop shop to access your training history when applying for employment or further study.
It is BGT's policy not to commence a student in training who has not provided a valid USI.
It is a legislative requirement that BGT cannot issue a Qualification or Statement of Attainment to any student who has not provided a valid USI.
