Prepare to Drive
Get Your Learner Driver Licence
The Prepare to Drive Program is a partnership between BGT and the Department of Transport and Planning.
Attend 6 interactive classroom lessons where you learn about the road rules to follow when driving in Victoria to help prepare to get your Learner Permit.
- No matter what level of education or training you have had in the past BGT can help.
- The BGT Prepare to Drive course will give you the skills and knowledge to pass the Victorian Learner Driver Test.
- Increase your literacy skills and increase options for employment and further education or training.
Important:
VicRoads requires you have sufficient identification before you can sit your Learner Permit Test. Vic Roads requires 3 pieces of ID one from each of the following categories:
- Primary ID: A full birth certificate, current passport or citizenship documents.
- Secondary ID: Medicare card, student card, bank/credit card, telephone/gas/electricity bill
- Evidence of Victorian residency: Bank statement, proof of age card, concession or health care card.
