BGT Jobs & Training Ballarat are partnering with Mars Ballarat to find a second year Apprentice Fitter and Turner to be employed at the Mars Ballarat site. 

 

About the role:

During this Apprenticeship, you will spend time in a variety of areas across the factory, where you will learn a broad range of skills. You will play a critical role to ensure the reliability and maintenance of all existing equipment within the Ballarat site. 

 

As part of your on the job training, you will complete a nationally accredited qualification in Certificate III in Fitting and Turning. This training will focus on developing your skills and learning your trade to set you on the path for your career ahead.

 

About you:

  • Second year apprentice or higher
  • An interest in mechanical work with a drive to learn and develop your skills in the classroom with industry training and on the tools work
  • Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment preferred, but not essential
  • The ability to work both as a team and also individually
  • The ability to prioritise and perform a variety of tasks and follow instructions
  • A commitment to Health and Safety
