Styled For Success - Social Media Volunteer

Aim: To assist the program coordinator with online promotion of the service, making it more accessible to members of the public.


Tasks:

  • To create regular content for SFS Facebook and Instagram accounts and the SFS page on the BGT website
  • In consultation with the coordinator, post weekly on all accounts (and Ballarat Community pages), advertising the service and inviting people in need to make appointments
  • To take photos where appropriate, of clients, styling workshops and other events where SFS is represented, ensuring that participants give consent to use their images
  • Work with the coordinator to implement other marketing strategies.


Selection Criteria:

  • An interest and demonstrated experience in managing social media accounts, preferably in the Not-for-Profit sector
  • An interest in helping people in the community
  • An ‘eye for fashion’ or interest in, is preferable, but not essential.
  • Possibly suit a marketing student.

Other:

  • This position works directly with the SFS coordinator
  • This role can be carried out remotely and would require 2-4 hours per month commitment
  • A current Working with Children check and police check, or willingness to complete is essential.
